Fiesta y Hechale

02/27/11
Maya made brownies for Daniel's birthday and then I made Kristi hold them so I could take a picture.  We sang to him real pretty-like. Today we got to listen to Sister Beck for three hours and I even got to hug her.  I love Sundays.

02/26/11
FIESTA!  This was so much fun.  There was a dance presented from each country in latin america.  It was such a joyous event and we screamed and cheered like crazy.  It made me think of my Brasilian and Colombian sisters. :)

02/25/11
We finally found a lovely place to live and a ginormous weight was lifted off of my shoulders.  We are looking forward to you, Centennial. :)

02/24/11
This was one of those rotten days. You know, the ones where you just feel rotten.  So I thought it rather fitting that I only remembered to take a picture once I was already in bed and had to take it of the window.  Luckily the rest of week was spectacular to make up for it.

02/23/11
Daniel got his mission call to the Brazil Salvador mission!!

02/22/11
This is my hall, Wells, where I live and stuff.

(02/21/11)
This is Matzen and Kurtis who we like a lot because they are wonderful people.

Two Week's Notice

02/20/11
Maya plays a lullaby before we get some shut-eye.

02/19/11
Me and my men at the Relief Society activity.  Don't mind Bella in the background.

02/18/11
We headed to play "pass the balloon" with the old folks after playing school and coloring with the children at the Boy's and Girl's Club.

(02/17/11)
TAP CLASS! Amanda and Seve and Kristi were about to ace their very first test.

02/16/11
This is the view in the early morning and it is pleasant to my eyeballs.

02/15/11
Can Maya fit in the hula hoop?

02/14/11
Happy Valentine's Day! Maya and I were the lucky recipients of some secret admirer notes. Oohlala.

Cheese Curds

02/13/11
Tunnel singing!  Sometimes I forget how much I miss choir until I sing in a big, beautiful group, like with tunnel singing.  Music soothes the soul, there is no doubt about that.

02/12/11
We had a girlie night in Amanda's bed and we watched 27 Dresses and Stardust and ate carrots and animal crackers.

02/11/11
Kristi is a beauty and I love her.

02/10/11
Maya turned nineteen!  And believe it or not these boys made this magnificent sign all by themselves.  Impressive, no?  They've got skills.

(02/09/11)
Pupusas con Mika y sus amigos.  Que rico.  Don't try the horchata though.

02/08/11
We had never eaten cheese curds before and were anxiously awaiting for the restocking of the Creamery but we were fairly disappointed, which isn't evident by our expressions.

02/07/11
This was a fabulous moment in my life.  Madi spied this guy in the library and realized they were wearing the same shirt (practically).  On our way out I asked if I could take his picture with her and he readily agreed.  We think they may be long-lost siblings.

Neverland

02/06/11
If I don't get into the nursing program at least I'll have a backup.  Expert colorer.

02/05/11
Date night! It was fun.  We did "kid things" like paint and color and eat grilled cheese sandwiches.  You can see a piece of my head if you look closely.

02/04/11
This is Alicia, the adorable woman from Argentina that we like to visit.  She is so sweet and full of words of wisdom and we love her lots.

02/03/11
So I realize this picture is strange but it was late at night and I hadn't taken a picture yet and apparently our creative juices don't flow very well late at night.

02/02/11
Life at the Canon, where I occasionally eat before work because it is convenient and because I get to eat with Madilyn.

(02/01/11)
We made smores on the stove and the chocolate was so melty and I dripped it all over my jeans.

01/31/11
Welcome to the best American Heritage class where our professor does fun things.  This particular scenario was to explain the concept of reaching economic equilibrium.  Yes, he did actually pay them.

We ate again today

01/30/11
This is my roomie Amanda and her man, Patrick.  I like them.

01/29/11
Kristi and I worked hard to get an in-focus picture with both of us in the air, but this was as good as it got. :)  This was just before our Saturday morning run.

01/28/11
This is me eating a Tim Tam Slam. DELICIOUS.  If you don't know what that is, you should probably find out because it is the best.

01/27/11
I was a tad bit irresponsible on this Thursday night and I went with the Yerman ladies to see Megamind in 3D at the dollar theater and I loved every minute of it.

01/26/11
Mmmmm, bacon on a doughnut!

01/25/11
It finally snowed again!  It was so beautiful.  I like Utah.

(01/24/11)
This star is a lie.
* From now on if a date is in parenthesis it means I forgot to take a picture and had to use an imposter one.  Hopefully I won't have to use it excessively.

It's a corsage

01/23/11
Chocolate Caliente de Abuelita is the perfect end to a lovely Sunday.

01/22/11
We played Just Dance on the Wii at our girl's night where we had facials and brownies.

01/21/11
All of these apartments want US to live in them next year but the decision is just so difficult.

01/20/11
Heidi told me to take a picture of my hands doing something and after many creative shots this one came about and won the contest.

01/19/11
After a strange experience at the Canon Madi made this face to help us remember the incident.

01/18/11
Elyssa's banana necklace has served me well in college life.  Here it hangs on my closet door.

01/17/11
I have a confession. This picture was actually taken on the 18th. I forgot to take a picture on this day!!  Oh well. We can pretend, just this once.  So I had my first guitar lesson and it was wonderful and I also am loving tap and clogging.

Happy Times

01/16/11
These are the names of some of the coolest people I know, put together primarily by the hands of Crunchy Kristi.

01/15/11
We made homemade pizza with pineapple, spinach, olives, pepperoni, and peppers galore and it was so delicious.

01/14/11
After two weeks of crazy school we finally made it back to the wonderful Provo temple.

01/13/11
Mami was so kind as to surprise Maya and me with early birthday presents in the mail!  They were warm mittens made with love. :)

01/12/11
Sometimes when I get home from work late at night I look like death.  It's unfortunate.

01/11/11
Here is the squirmunk in all it's glory.

01/10/11
When I go to the library to study this is what my table looks like.  Thrilling, I know.

01/09/11
Meet Seve.  This was on our walk back from la iglesia.

01/08/11
Madi and Maya introduced me to the delicious Cafe Rio!  Also, Madi had to wear a neck brace because she got in a car accident.  She pulls it off well.

01/07/11
This is our Wall of Susbstantial Happenings where we document all the events that we must never forget.

01/06/11
Maya, one of the greastest people on the earth, surprised us all by stealing one of our shoes and filling it with goodies in honor of the Day of the Three Kings.

01/05/11
This was when I thoroughly destroyed my sad attempt at making vegetable curry, but on the bright side I did manage to set off the smoke alarm.  This picture doesn't do it justice.

01/04/11
On my way home I was feeling overwhelmed after my first day of classes when I came across these lovely ducks and it immediately lifted my spirits. :)

01/03/11
In Utah not having coffee at a coffee shop really isn't that big of a problem.  It's the hot chocolate that counts.

01/02/11
Maya's house has a plethora of masks, but this one is surely one of the greats.
